Now that the 2009 Disc Golf Marathon Fundraiser is in the history books, I wanted to let folks know that they're not YET off the hook related to contributing funds to the organization! You know who you are...people who didn't show up to play. LOL. :-)
We've still got several dozen discs for sale with our 2009 SMDGA custom stamp on them...with $5 from every disc sale going to fund the SMDGA. Discs sell for $12, plus $1.50 for shipping (per disc) if I can't get them to you in person at an upcoming event. Checks or PayPal will be accepted. Contact me (Derek Tonn) for more information.
We've got four different discs with the custom stamp on them:
Discraft Avenger SS(Z-plastic, weights between 166g and 174g, depending upon what's left)
Discraft Surge SS(Z-plastic, weights between 166g and 174g, depending upon what's left)
Discraft Flick(Z-plastic, weights between 166g and 174g, depending upon what's left)
These discs sell for around $3-$4 less here than you can buy them in the store...with a custom stamp to boot! $7/disc is covering Discraft's run costs...so 100% of the "profits" above and beyond those costs are going to the SMDGA. Consequently, if you're looking for a disc or two for your bag, for gifts or for your mantle (where my own CryZtal Buzzz will forever stay), let me know and I'll hook you up. Thanks!
Derek,
I think that you could load up the car with disces and bring them with you on Sunday!
I know that J&J will be there selling and doing the funny money - but I don't see a conflict with a club SMDGA stamp??????
I think the disc is a nice way to get the word out there.
Also, think about where you want to go to lunch, or do you want to order pizza for the park? My treat!
Sounds good, Brian! Pizza, pasta, subs, Chinese/Japanese, Mexican, fast food...pretty much whatever works for me. I'll trust your judgment as to the best places around the park to grab a bite to eat. I'll also load up those stamped discs to see if we can move a few at the Razor. Having the web site URL on there helps...and we've actually moved quite a few since the Marathon. I'm already thinking about a 2010 stamp too...although I gotta move a few dozen more 2009 discs first, so I don't have to take out a second mortgage, lol.
